Mrs. White does an amazing job of putting Bible verses in a clear context where I can really understand their meaning. She clearly has a gift from God to understand and write about the Scriptures, and her health writings in particular are mind-bogglingly accurate when you consider her advice was proven right by numerous scientific studies done decades after her death.
I encourage you to read through them (they are all posted online and are free to download and read) at her Ellen G. White Estate website. In particular, I recommend to you “The Desire of Ages” and “The Great Controversy“.

Do you know if the author, Ellen G. White, is a Seventh Day Adventist?
I have recently been watching a new Christian television station available over the cable TV programming that I have – “3ABN” (Three Angels Broadcast Network) and find their Bible Prophesy programs very interesting and informative. I’ve learned that 3ABN is a Seventh Day Adventist network.

Ellen G. White was a prophet of God. Her writings constitute an inspired commentary on the Bible. Anyone who reads the Scriptures seriously knows that the Holy Spirit directed her words and her writings are written to lead us to the Holy Bible so that we might be saved. In 1975, I read the book “The Great Controversy” by Ellen G. White and it changed my life. I received “new insight” into the Scriptures and today I still believe and have tested Ellen White’s writings against the Scriptures. I will always appreciate what the Lord has done through his prophetess.

I have not really quite read her books from cover to cover but what i have read has inspired me and now i want to read more of her books. ellen G. White is an Adventist and her books enlighten our understanding.

I must say that God has really used Ellen white through her books to bless millions of people around the world. Most of my friends here in cross River state, Nigeria have testified that they have been touched by the writings of ellen. Am really glad that God has used someone to reach us during this last days.
